WHOI / NSF-MRI kickoff meeting

Present:  Rich Schramm, Kevin Gomes, Brent Roman, Jim Birch

Absent: Brian Schlining

Discussion Items:

1.  Goal is to create a 'state' vector which polls the instrument and creates a vector of current state of all relevant entities.  Brent to work with Rich to create this de novo.
2. Rich's software will read this vector and move his animations accordingly
3. Kevin working on populating this state vector from the log file.
4. An issue with the animation software is the preciousness of screen real-estate.  Thus, what views need to go together?  Like carousel and hand, or hand and rotary valve...?
5. Needed to talk about how to animate the fluidics diagram.
   1. Animation preference is in this order;
      1. fluidics diagram
      2. happenings on the deck
      3. bag fluid levels

Image Analysis

 Brian working on 3 files with fiducials to try and completely automate the alignment and analysis.  Also working on a calibration curve of the intensity data.  Roman needs to print another set of arrays for him.  Brian said he'd look at the 2 sets before next week.
